About Me

Looking downright twisted!
Hello there.
I'm Janyce Denise Glasper, a writer, painter, drawer, aspiring amateurish vegan cook (more like baker, lol). Just a friendly Dayton, Ohio native with a BFA in drawing from the Art Academy of Cincinnati and Post Baccalaureate and MFA in painting from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. I love cooking/baking animal free food, pure beauty, natural hair, fashion, thrift shops, film (especially PoC and women centric narrative), traveling, and all sorts of crafty oriented parts of life! Also, I do these on the cheap. Very, very frugal...

Mac n cheese can be created in a gazillion different ways.
I love pancakes, especially chocolate ones! Yes, chocolate is a weakness of mine.

May 15, 2010. Ages ago.
In my free time, I enjoy playing Scrabble with cats....
Punching dudes named Adam in the face at random costume parties...
And learning how to ride bicycles. Cannot ride a bike. May need training wheels.
Can't believe I ever thought cow's milk ice cream was awesome. What was I thinking? Thank you So Delicious. :)
This is my calico gal pal, Olivia. She loves staring out of the window eying pigeons.
I love Buffy.
My favorite vegan meal from Lucky's Taproom in the Oregon District- soy burger topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, and vegan cheddar served with a side of sweet potato fries!
Every Starbucks soy milk green tea frappuccino is a cause for celebration. They are like $4 after all! Often, I doodle on the environmentally friendly napkins while humming victory tunes.
Yoga, pilates, cardio, belly dancing, Wii Fit, I do it all! Or at least try to. But never all in one day! ;)
One of these days a six pack might show up. An eight pack would be wonderful. Baby steps here. Baby steps...

Reading romance novels at The Sanctuary used to be one of my favorite past times, especially on beautiful warm days when people aren't loudly talking or fishing around me. And yes, I have read Brenda Joyce's "The Masquerade" a hundred times.
Working on a my first children's book! Yay!
No one seems to remember my Oval Office years...
Ah, Paris. Talk about an eye opening trip....
Also in my very hectic schedule, I found time to date Morgan Freeman for five blissful seconds at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum in NYC...
27. Check out the multi colored ducks shower curtain. Very pop art influenced.
A litho block print story about two young girls walking their pet lion in the night. Found 8 of them. Might some up in my etsy shop.
Hats! Hats! Hats! Oh my God. Hatgasm....
Eww.
Typical school lunch & read.
Didn't realize I liked red peppers until my friend Gaile shared her homemade salad. Also she uses apple cider vinegar as a dressing! Very delicious!
Shahid Kapoor is amazing. Have you heard of him? Seen him?
This African necklace purchased from Cachet G is a treasured piece of jewelry.

Frida Kahlo: The Barbie needs to happen. She should come equipped with a monkey.
Future tattoo has it all! An afro, afro pick, lioness, chai tea, book, art, #7, & rubber duck!

One of my favorite movies & scarf inspiration. I wear mine exactly the same in hopes of catching a guy like James McAvoy!
Ah, Jason's Lyric, another good film. My fave scene is when Jason rents the bus for Lyric for an entire day! So romantic....
Awwwww. An Olivia baby picture.

  3. Hi,

I'd like to get in touch with you but couldn't find your email address.

I'm working with a bunch of other Vegan bloggers to beta test a community chat tool for blogs called Typepath. Vegansaurus, Red Hot Vegans and a bunch of others are participating and I thought you'd be interested. You have a great blog.

You can email me at joe [at] typepath.com

    Thanks!
